Editorial
We have had a busy month taking Roundabout ‘out and about’ to local conventions. It has been a pleasure hearing from so many members about how important the magazine is to them. It is also encouraging to already be receiving articles from some of those we spoke to. We are really low on articles at the moment, please do consider taking some time to sit down and write an article for our magazine - we are grateful for all of those received.
For some, tackling Steps Eight and Nine can seem like a daunting experience. I know this was the case for me, I needed to be ready. I needed to take time to understand what was required and listen to others of their own experiences to know what I might expect. It was certainly an eye-opening moment when I realised that what was actually required was for me to document who I had harmed and how - not how everyone else had harmed me. I was so used to playing the victim. Then came the willingness to make amends. I still have people on my list to make things right with and if and when the opportunity arises I know I am 100% ready to make those amends and accept their reactions.
When I come to make amends, I know I am not doing them alone. I am doing them with the Fellowship behind me.
