Find a meeting

Roundabout November 2025

I’m sure I have mentioned this before, but when I first came into AA someone I would regularly see at meetings would share that he could put his head on his pillow at night and say thank you. I thought this was a bit over the top and couldn’t imagine being able to be grateful for my day! At some point it happened though - I could be grateful for my day, but also run through my day and take inventory and make a mental note if I needed to rectify anything and make amends in the future. I often find I struggle to get a good night’s sleep now if I have something playing on my mind through my inventory - how things have changed!

Service is an incredibly important part of my sobriety, such as working with my fellow subcommittee members on our magazine each month - some people think we get paid to produce Roundabout, but no, it’s service and something you might like to consider in the future! I’m at my happiest though when opening my home group and welcoming fellow AA members to our meeting, making the tea and keeping it simple. However you practice Step 12 and continue to carry the message, I hope like me, you find it boosts your own sobriety and helps keep you sober.
