Thank God I kept coming back
I have been a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 21 years and I am, I believe, now on the road to recovery.
I am 12 years sober but by the time I was 10 years I was faced with nearly losing my family – even though I hadn’t had a drink. Evidently I needed to work a Programme, but was finding this impossible. Thankfully I had friends in AA who were always there to advise me.
Finally, I realised I needed outside help. Then, at the meetings locally, I got chatting to a lovely lady and asked her to sponsor me. It is like a miracle. I keep pinching myself. I am working hard because I want to get better.
AA has given me everything and God is real for me now. Thank God I kept coming back and I learned how to listen. Thank you one and all.
