We’re also looking for speakers for the 68th Scottish National Convention on 9-11th May 2024, one conference delegate and alternative delegates for conference 2025.
Vice Chair:
- Has signing authority for Intergroup.
- Convenes and conducts the monthly Integroup meetings in the absence of the Chair.
- Assists the chairperson with carrying out duties and responsibilities.

Electronic Communications Liaison Officer: Looking for replacement
Public Information Officer
The aim of our Public Information service discipline is to improve communications with professionals and the public, through cooperating with various external organisations in providing a free service to help with the growing problem of alcoholism.
Employment Liaison Officer
Duties: Assumes responsibility for liaising with all sectors of commerce and industry.
Young Persons Liaison Officer
The YPLO will be someone who came into AA at the age of 30 or younger, and so will have experience of getting sober at a young age, the better to relate to the particular problems faced by young people seeking to live sober.
Probation Liaison Officer
A Probation Liaison Officer is responsible for engaging with professionals and individuals within our justice system
SHARE/Roundabout Liaison Officer
Duties: Provides the essential contacts between members, groups and the editorial teams. They actively encourage the contribution of articles and letters and the promotion of the magazines.
Armed Services Liaison Officer
The role of the ASLO is to establish and maintain communication between Alcoholics Anonymous and The Royal Navy, The Army and The Royal Air Force and to report back at all levels within intergroup or region. It is also important to cultivate similar contact and communication with Community Welfare Officers and organisations such as Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) and Veterans-UK.
Region Reps 2 & 3
Region reps are the bridge between intergroup and region, attending Bi-Monthly Scotia Region meetings (Hybrid) and reporting back to Intergroup, enhancing communication between groups and intergroup, and region.
The AA helpline currently has an urgent need for telephone volunteers and 12th Steppers.
