Intergroup Service Meetings
The Borders & East Lothian Intergroup aims to:
- Support our Groups in the common purpose of carrying the AA message to the still suffering alcoholic.
- Develop and maintain good relations across our local community through the legacies of unity, service and recovery.
AA BELI hold business meetings four times a year, and generally the first meeting of the year also incorporates our Annual General Meeting
Each Group is encouraged to send along a Group Service Representative (GSR) however any AA member is very welcome to attend as an observer (probably worth checking the meeting date first with either your GSR or by emailing the Intergroup Secretary)

cjs.bel@aamail.org
Criminal Justice Services Liaison Officer
The aim of our CJS is to carry the message that AA exists and that its members are freely available to help those who have got into trouble under the Criminal Justice System because of their drinking. It is estimated that a significant number of cases coming before the courts involve some element of alcohol abuse and that many of those appearing in such cases have a history of re-offending sentences. It is hoped that engagement with AA will provide an opportunity to help reduce this. The officer can also hello information justice professionals.
