Borders & East Lothian Intergroup

Welcome. This website is designed to assist anyone seeking information about Alcoholics Anonymous in the Borders & East Lothian Intergroup (BELI) area. Our intergroup exists to serve and support the AA groups within our area.

There are about 30 weekly AA Group meetings in the area. They are all listed at the bottom of this page, please click on a meeting for full details.

If a Meeting is listed as “Open” that means it is intended for both alcoholics and non-alcoholics (e.g. family, friends and other people interested in learning more about AA such as medical professionals). The rest will be “Closed” Meetings which means they are intended solely for alcoholics and those with an alcohol problem who have a desire to stop drinking.

At all meetings the anonymity of those attending is to be respected.

GROUPSplease update your details online using the Group Information – Registration and Update Meeting form in the Members section on the AA website. This ensures that your Meeting details are kept up to date (even if your Meeting is to be, say, only suspended for just one day).  Please also email a copy of the updated details to the BELI Secretary so we can update our circulation list for BELI Agenda/Meeting Minutes, Circulars etc

If groups have an urgent query please start by discussing it with your Group Service representative. Alternatively call the AAGB helpline 0800 917 7650. For non-urgent queries, please click on ‘Intergroup Service Meetings & Contacts’ in the sidebar on the left for contact details of Intergroup service officers

Please also see the links on the left for details of our regular Intergroup Service Meetings and Service Opportunities.
