I can’t believe as we wrap-up this magazine and go to print, we have reached another completed year of Roundabouts! With that in mind, I’d like to take a quick moment to acknowledge our subcommittee. We’re a small team (although currently nearly fully-staffed) and it is a pleasure to create our magazine with my fellow AA’s. Everyone plays a part and it truly is a team effort, so as we reach the end of 2024 - thank you ‘Team Roundabout’!
There have been times this year when we have been really low on articles, but the fellowship has always delivered when asked and thank you for the flurry that have arrived in the last few months. Remember you can email your articles directly to me on the address below or handwritten ones can be posted to our Northern Service Office (address to the left), where they do a fabulous job typing up and sending on to us.
My first sober Christmas is a special memory for me. I worried beforehand about how to handle it, what to eat and drink and what about meetings? Unexpectedly, after all the worry,
I experienced a ‘quiet mind’ for the first time that day. Christmas brought a calmness to my racing head and importantly I stuck to routine - I went to a meeting at night as I normally would do.
