Intergroup Details and Vacancies

Jersey Intergroup is one of 10 Intergroups within the South West Region.

The aims of an intergroup are to aid the constituent groups in their common purpose of carrying the AA message to the still suffering alcoholic and, by using their combined strength and unity, to improve and maintain good relations with all organisations in the community.

Our Intergroup meetings are held 6 times a year at St Paul’s Centre, Dumaresq Street, St Helier, JE2 3RL on the second Monday of the month.

Sponsorship and support are available for all roles. If you have the required length of sobriety and are interested in any of them please contact The Intergroup Secretary.

South West Region Rep –

Recommended 3 years sobriety. This role involves attending all Intergroup meetings, to report from Region meetings and to hear from the Intergroup their wishes to be expressed at the next regional meeting.

Employment Liaison Officer (ELO) –

Recommended 2 years sobriety. The responsibility of ELOs is to carry AA’s message to employers within their local area, supported by intergroup and region and P.I. Employment specifically concerns any organisation employing or serving staff companies, trade unions and associations, government departments and/or related agencies.

Young Persons Liaison Officer (YPLO) –

Recommended 2 years sobriety. Ideally the YPLO is someone who came into AA at the age of 30 or younger and so will have experience of getting sober at a young age, and so better to relate to the particular problems faced by young people seeking to live sober.
