- Region Rep –
- Request to please review Conference responses as timely as possible. Due to only have 1 Region Rep currently – If Rachel cannot attend then someone (1 min) from IG should be nominated to go in her place
- Secretary – Paul – secretary.nesurrey@aamail.org –
- Continue to make sure meeting and contact details are up to date.
- Treasurer
- Discussion was had on sending monies up to region. Opinions that NESIG send the most up / no one else does anyway / it will only sit at region, etc. We do need to get plans and budgets in place asap as to what LO proposals are so that a firm decision can be made at next Intergroup. Martin to produce a doc on Treasurers role and what to do to pass up etc
- Public Information LO (Zoe voted in)
- Telephone LO – Glenn
- I have compiled and verified the available people who still wish to be a 12 stepper for the joint Mid Surrey / North East Surrey list (Green available, RED not or declined). All docs will be shared on a separate email due to number of attachments. The only other concern is the training, as there is no formal training for the 12 stepper only the safeguarding guidelines and the attached responder training. There is a Regional workshop on Sunday the 29th September at Pulborough where I am hoping to meet some other TLO’s and enquire on how they have trained there 12 steppers.
- Electronic Communications LO – Chris – Ecomm.nesurrey@aamail.org
- Request to put IG Email addresses next to officer names on Minutes for ease of contact. Vote for next IG on contributing more locally to ECLO initiatives. There have also been further updates to the NESIG microsite which can be found here: https://www.alcoholics-anonymous.org.uk/intergroups/north-east-surrey-intergroup/
- Employment LO – Nick
- Continued voluntary work (half day every three weeks) with rough sleepers with East Surrey Outreach. One further referral now attending AA around Caterham then Leatherhead. I have spent a session with all (5) of their full-time employees and have given them an understanding of Alcoholism and the AA Program. Nil response from all letter drops. Likewise nil response from emails and messages to local trade groups.
