Vacancies and How to Apply

Service Keeps Us Sober

A “suggested” minimum of two years’ continuous sobriety, a good working knowledge of the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, and some service experience are required for all Intergroup officer roles. Candidates should also have attended Intergroup on at least two occasions.

The Intergroup recognises that some members may need support when stepping into a new role. Don’t let a lack of experience at Intergroup level stop you from standing. Sponsors into service are available to work in tandem with you, sharing their experience and briefing you to ensure the “hand of AA” remains steady during the transition. Please speak to your Intergroup Chair to find out more.

If you wish to apply for a position, please send an AA CV (you can download a template AA CV here>>), along with a proposer and seconder, in advance of the next Intergroup meeting to [email protected]

More details can be found in the AA GB Service Handbook 2025–2026

By stepping into service, you help widen the circle of recovery and ensure AA is there for those yet to come.
