Home Responder & 12 Step Service Positions

We are always looking for new people able to undertake the vital roles of Home Responders and 12 Steppers. Even though we only receive maybe a dozen calls each month, we need to be available in case of need.

If you are interested or know someone who is interested in any of these positions then please contact for a job description or come along to our next intergroup meeting.

Service in Prisons

North East London Intergroups, Pentonville prison still need members to do service. The more members there are doing service the more meetings can be provided, giving a greater opportunity to help the suffering alcoholic.

The sign up process has been made easier. There is now a form you can fill out and submit to the prison liaison officer. Please sign up here.

Telephone Service

If you've got at least a year's continuous sobriety and want to do Telephone Service, the training session is held on the first Monday of each month at 7.15 for a 7.30pm start, at the AA Service Office.

The telephone office needs volunteers.  If you are already trained but are not currently doing a shift and would like to then please get in touch.  People urgently needed to cover weekday daytime shifts - 10am - 2pm and 2m - 6pm.
