Lea Valley Intergroup
Welcome to Lea Valley Intergroup
Lea Valley Intergroup supports our local groups and members in our primary common purpose of carrying the AA message to alcoholics. We follow the three legacies of Unity, Service and Recovery to develop and maintain relationships with organisations and institutions in our community to create pathways for those afflicted by an alcohol-related problem to the AA fellowship.
AA groups in Lea Valley hold daily in-person and online meetings in Aldenham, Berkhamsted, Borehamwood, Bushey, Harpenden, Hatfield, Hemel Hempstead, Kings Langley, London Colney, Rickmansworth, St Albans, Tring and Watford. Please see below for a full list of our current meetings, or click here to download our printable meeting guide.
If you, or your loved one, is suffering from an alcohol-related problem and would like to talk to an AA member confidentially, we have two helplines that are provided for information purposes, or to arrange an in-person visit to talk about how AA can help (calls are not recorded and are entirely confidential).

Your Intergroup
Lea Valley Intergroup meetings are scheduled and held quarterly (February, May, August, and November), where Group Service Representatives (GSRs) and Intergroup Liaison Officers meet to discuss various business matters in our area, including Public Information, Health Services, Probation and Prison Services, Young People in AA, local events and much more. Our primary purpose is always to carry the AA message effectively and efficiently to suffering alcoholics. We call this ‘Service’: one of AA’s three legacies, which is a great way to become more involved in helping others and maintaining sobriety.
All AA members are welcome to attend Intergroup meetings to learn more about our work and get involved in service at this level of our fellowship. Members that provide service at Intergroup do so as unpaid volunteers, using the AA Service and Structure Guidelines, 12 Traditions and Concepts of Alcoholics Anonymous.
The next Lea Valley Intergroup meeting will be held on Sunday, 10th May 2026 (3:00 pm – 5:00 pm) at St Stephens Church, Watling Street, St Albans, Hertfordshire AL1 2PT. The venue has sufficient parking and is wheelchair accessible.
