A presentation hosted this year by Rachael Maskell MP for York Central
Tuesday 21 May 2024 from 3pm to 5pm
The Attlee Suite, Portcullis House, Victoria Embankment, London SW1A 2LW
You are cordially invited to the 20th Annual Presentation and Reception of Alcoholics Anonymous hosted by Rachael Maskell MP.
Our aim is to help professionals, practitioners and Parliamentarians get a better understanding of Alcoholics Anonymous. Alcoholics Anonymous as a free resource that works for many people. We are not allied with any religious or other body, and we are self-supporting through our own contributions. We exist to help suffering alcoholics recover from the illness of alcoholism.
While Alcoholics Anonymous does not affiliate with any outside organisation, we do cooperate with health and social care professionals who work with people whose alcoholism is part of the problem. Alcoholics Anonymous is based around the concept of recovery from a persisting, chronic illness; it is a synthesis of ideologies and attitudes which came to us through medical and spiritual principles.
Agenda
•Real life’ experiences from two alcoholics in recovery.
•Presentations from Mike Trace, CEO of the Forward Trust and Police Sergeant Richard Scullion, Custody Management & Specialist Operations
•Questions & Answers session from the floor.
•Buffet refreshments.
Please let us know if you require assistance to attend the event and we will do what we reasonably can to accommodate you.
