Welcome to the Probation/Criminal Justice Services area of the website. It is intended that these pages will provide a complete resource for liaison officers who are interested in working in this particular service discipline, or are already working in the discipline.
As new material becomes available, including new initiatives in various parts of the country, minutes of the annual meeting of regional liaison officers, new members’ stories, changes to the information handbook etc., they will all be added to these pages. In this way it is intended that members will be regularly kept up-to-date with the current situation in Probation/Criminal Justice Services Liaison.
Much of the material is stored in the Document Library, but where this is the case, there are links from these pages to the actual material.
Major
changes have taken place within the Probation Service in England and Wales, with 21 Community
Rehabilitation Companies (CRC) replacing Probation Trusts. Contract Holders
have been appointed and area details of the geographic CRC boundaries are
available to Intergroup and Region Liaison Officers via probation-sub-sec@aa-email.org.uk
We are always open to suggestions on how to improve these pages, or ideas for additional material. Such suggestions can be directed to us on probation-sub-sec@aa-email.org.uk or probation-sub-gsb@aa-email.org.uk.
