Chester Intergroup operate a Public Information Committee.

Can you assist with giving talks to schools, doctors surgeries and other groups?

If so, please contact Chris (Blacon) or send an e-mail to

Information for Professionals

Members of the Chester Intergroup of AA would be happy to  give a talk to you, your staff, your employees or your students to explain how AA has helped people to stop drinking and just as importantly, stay stopped.

Please send an e-mail to if you would like more information

Members of Chester City intergroup have previously given talks to doctors and medical staff, schools and schoolchildren and other professions and institutions in and around Chester City. These have been well received and feedback shows that the audience find the talks to be highly beneficial.  It is quite common one or two members of the audience later to ask us in confidence if we can help them or a member of their family.

The key point we try to put across is that people do not need to be alone with a drinking problem, whether they are the active drinker or a friend or family member affected by someone's drinking.  Help is available, it is free to access and it does work.
