Find out moreEach of the Twelve Steps comes with its own Promises and for me I found such a message of hope in Step Two, particularly the words ‘Came to believe’. When I realised that it’s up to me to keep a connection with my Higher Power, and that I’m not perfect, I also found I could see when more work was needed. Even after all these years, I don’t always allow my HP in but today I can accept I’m human and can hope to return to sanity through reconnecting. This stands me in good stead to stay on track with our group conscience and purpose as reflected in Tradition Two. I can avoid putting anyone on a pedestal and remain aware of our one ultimate authority.
