Get help with your drinking problem

People come to AA through many different means... choose the path that best suits you.

If you prefer e-mail as a means of contact then feel free to email us at help@aamail.org. We have a team of volunteers who have experienced the problems that losing control of your drinking can bring. They are only too pleased to be willing to help.

If you want to speak to someone in your area who has found a solution to the problems they had as a result of their drinking you can call our helpline Free on 0800 9177 650,  to be put in touch with someone locally.

You may wish to message one of our team of AA Member volunteers - Use Chat Now found here. Introduce yourself with your first name, and if one of the team is online at that moment, he/she will respond and seek to answer your questions. (If there is no responder available, you will still be able to email us at  help@aamail.org. It will be answered as soon as possible.)

* Any reply may include the opinions and experience of the individual responder, which may cover matters on which Alcoholics Anonymous itself has no collective view.

With some devices, use the live chat pop up may not appear. An adjustment of your privacy settings might help, or clearing recent browsing history.

If you prefer, you can simply turn up at one of our meetings - click on this link to find one near you. We strongly suggest that when you arrive you let someone know that this is your first meeting, that way they will be able to provide you with information that most people new to AA find useful.
