The Alcoholics Anonymous Great Britain Archive

In 2018, Alcoholics Anonymous Great Britain in partnership with the Borthwick Institute for Archives began a three year project to catalogue, preserve, and open up its archive which holds material dating back to the very beginning of the British Fellowship in 1946. Spanning the entirety of its 75 years, the archive material comprises over 446.15 cubic feet and 6 GB of digital records.

Dear Friends
To enhance our knowledge and record the journey of AA in all out regions, we are looking to record the memories of our 'Old Timers.' Whilst fundamentally an informal process about their journey, we seek to answer core questions of how they got here, how AA developed in their area, plus interesting or funny stories of their journey and the characters they met.
With participants agreement it is intended to have a section on the AA web site dedicated to these recordings.
So, in fellowship my ask of you at group, inter group, region, local or national conventions is for an individual or nominated person to develop this priceless service task.
