London Region South held their Safeguarding Workshop on Sunday 6th February. Four Trustees attended, making an initial presentation followed by a suggestions and question section.
Background
In 2019, our fellowship considered the conference question:
Would the Fellowship share experience and make recommendations on how individual groups could include within its Group Conscience a strategy to deal with safeguarding issues should they arise?
Conference 2019 made several recommendations to the General Service Board.

The GSB set up a committee to develop the AA Safeguarding Document and they reported back to Conference 2021.
After Conference 2021 it was decided that the proposed document would be passed, but as a working document and the Safeguarding Committee would undertake to continue to consult with the fellowship. A update was provided at Conference 2021.
