If your life has been affected by someone else’s drinking, there is support.
Al-Anon
If you love an alcoholic, find strength and hope at our sister group Al-Anon UK for families and friends of alcoholics.
Al-Anon offers a place to turn, when you feel you have nowhere else. It offers in-person meetings across the UK, Online Meetings, and a Helpline.
When it seems that love is not enough to stop someone drinking it can be devastating. You might suffer money problems, poor sleep, and irregular meals, or even risks to you of your family’s physical safety or emotional health.
Whether the alcoholic in your life is in the past or present, Al-Anon is for you.

Al-Anon also runs Alateen for 12–17year-olds who live with, or love, an alcoholic.
