Alcoholics Anonymous Awareness Event
A presentation hosted by Marie McNair MSP
Wednesday 12 March 2025 – 6.00pm for 6.30pm to 8 pm
The Fleming Room, Holyrood, Edinburgh EH99 1SP
You are cordially invited to the Annual Presentation of Alcoholics Anonymous hosted by Marie McNair MSP.
Our aim is to help professionals and parliamentarians get a better understanding of Alcoholics Anonymous. One of our key objectives is to dispel the myth that AA is in any way a ‘secret society’. While our members are anonymous, our organisation is most definitely not.
Alcoholics Anonymous is free and 1000’s of people in recovery are testament that it works. We are not allied with any religious or other body, and we are self-supporting through our own contributions. We exist to help suffering alcoholics recover from the illness of alcoholism.
The presentation will include:
- Input from professionals who have a wealth of experience dealing with suffering alcoholics and what affect their involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous has had.
- ‘Real life’ experiences from recovered alcoholics.
- Questions & Answers session from the floor.
- Buffet
There is no charge for the event.
