Our area includes Locksheath in the east, all of Southampton and as far as The New Forest in the west and up to Romsey.

Meeting Closures due to Coronavirus

Unfortunately from March 2020 all meetings had to close and since restrictions lifted a number have opened with limits on attendance in covid secure churches and community centres (Listed below). There are however several successful and popular online meetings in our area which can be viewed on the Online Meetings page of this site (click top left). These are updated regularly.

Our Intergroup email ecomm.solent@aamail.org is closely monitored so please raise any questions or concerns regarding the microsite and we will answer promptly (7 days a week).

If you are new to AA and looking for meetings in our area, we will reply with a warm welcome and guidance on starting off.

Should you have lost contact with your home group we can do our best to reconnect you with your Group Service Representative (GSR) who can hopefully advise on points such as which online meeting others in the Group are using and the best way to continue making Tradition 7 contributions during this period.

Re-opened Meetings from January 2021

Following the UK Government's announcement of new restrictions on social gatherings to suppress the coronavirus, effective from 26th December 2020, GSO has been advised by Public Health England, that in England, AA groups of up to 15 people are permitted to meet in person provided they meet in Covid-19 Secure Venues, strictly adhere to Social Distancing protocols and where local lockdowns are in place, to pay particular heed to local ordinances.

The following meeting have re-opened but are operating strict Covid secure measures including social distancing, face masks, hand sanitising, no refreshments, keeping a weekly attendance list of first names and telephone numbers for track and trace (the AA name is not written anywhere in or with these lists), adhering to maximum capacity levels as per the landlord regulations for each venue:-
