The General Service Office (GSO) of Alcoholics Anonymous recommends that all Groups take heed of the latest Government guidance on public gatherings and if required make alternative online arrangements for meetings.

The recommendation can be accessed via the link below.

All venues and meetings in the Brighton area are closed until further notice.

GSO Email to the Fellowship

From the General Service Office and Electronics Communications Sub-Committee

The spiritual substance of anonymity is sacrifice. Because A.As Twelve Traditions repeatedly ask us to give up personal desires for the common good, we realise that the sacrificial spirit - well symbolised by anonymity - is the foundation of them all. It is A.A.s proved willingness to make these sacrifices that gives people their high confidence in our future - From Tradition Twelve, Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions.

GSO recommends that all Groups take heed of the latest Government guidance on public gatherings and if required make alternative arrangements for meetings.

Some suggestions can be found at the following web page which will be updated throughout the crisis Corono Virus News

We are updating meeting locations and status as we are informed of changes - please email your meeting status to Group Information. All changes will be added to the meetings details tab/ link of each meeting on the Meeting Finder. There is no need to submit Pink Forms for these changes. The more we are informed by groups of changes, the better information we can provide

Due to the current situation GSO requests please do not call the offices in York, London or Glasgow but rather email GSO for general enquiries. We will respond as soon as we are able
