Brighton Convention 2022
As you will have seen on the Media we are now going in to a new Covid phase caused by the new Covid Variant, Omicron. This is already starting to impact on how we live and early indications are that it will only get worse as we come to the end of the year and move into 2022.
other things this is starting to impact on us, the Brighton AA 2022
The Convention Committee whilst endeavouring to proceed with the Convention and the Grand Hotel will at all times be compliant with all The Governments Legislation.
Safety is the primary concern and we are in daily dialogue with The Grand to discuss compliance.
Attendees MUST have either negative lateral flow test or proof of vaccinations
From Friday 10 December, face coverings will become compulsory in most public indoor venues, such as cinemas, theatres and places of worship. There will be exemptions in venues where it is not practical to wear one, such as when you are eating, drinking or exercising. For that reason, face masks will not be required in hospitality settings.
From Wednesday 15 December, and subject to parliamentary approval, the NHS Covid Pass on the NHS App will become mandatory for entry into nightclubs and settings where large crowds gather â?? including unseated indoor events with 500 or more attendees, unseated outdoor events with 4,000 or more attendees and any event with 10,000 or more attendees.
People must be able to demonstrate proof of two vaccine doses via the app. or proof of a negative lateral flow test
The government will keep the data under constant review.
Taken together, the government is hopeful these measures will reduce transmission and slow the spread of the Omicron variant, and will continue to urge those eligible to get their boosters when called.
WE ARE GOING TO CREATE A SAFE VACINATED BUBBLE WITHIN THE HOTEL where those in attendance can feel safe and confident.
Attendees MUST have Either negative lateral flow test or proof of vaccinations
The hotel has a non obtrusive Temp checker which will be available on both the main and Empress entrances. Apparently its not that dissimilar to going through security at the Airport.
