HO HO HO and welcome to the Christmas edition of SHARE everyone. Tis the season to be jolly (so we're told in every TV advert and magazine) and you can be jolly because you are holding in your very hands a festive feast of Experience, Strength and Hope which can only bring light, hope and promise. At least it did for me and I hope it will for you too.

Now then, Speakers' Corner makes a welcome return this month, with some pearls from members far wiser than me. We also have a couple of inspirational articles from the Archive (see, I did keep my promise of last month) and we have a superb festive Sponsor cartoon too. Brilliant!

A Christmas quiz for you now: take a look at the back photo and tell us what you think of it. When I was choosing the photos I was very taken with the one on the front cover because if you look closely each Santa is slightly different. A bit like us, really: all different but all exactly the same. Rambling now, so back to the point - look at the back photo and tell us what you see. I immediately saw a figure in the background that looked a bit wrecked (trust an alkie to spot this) and then I saw a figure in the foreground swaying (yes, I did an awful lot of that too in my drinking days) but I also see Step 12 in action. Can you?

Do write in and share your thoughts on that sculpture please. Meanwhile, on behalf of all of us at Share have a very happy Christmas. Remember, if you're on your own you needn't be alone because there are plenty of meetings to go to, and of course you have this meeting between meetings as well! Cheers.
