Tradition 7 states every AA group is fully self-supporting.
In physical meetings, a ‘hat’ is passed round to collect members’ contributions. During the pandemic, online groups chose various digital banking methods to meet Tradition 7. Intergroups (where AA groups in your local area pool resources to help each other) can streamline this.
An intergroup can host just one bank account for all the online groups in your area, with one reserve; this makes admin and bank charges more efficient.
If there are healthy reserves, any excess monies can then be regularly contributed to the General Service Board.
