Young People

Welcome to Severn Intergroup’s young person’s page. My name is Emily and I am an alcoholic I am also the Young Persons Liaison Officer (YPLO) for this area.

The YPLO receives and answers referred email and phone enquiries about AA from young people. This gives young people someone to talk with who has sober experience in Alcoholics Anonymous and who can share experience, strength and hope about getting sober at a young age.  I am also your link to other young people in our area and provide talks to professionals/ young people in schools and youth organisations.

I became a member of AA in 2012 aged 21 I am not alone, we are not alone. I’ve included a few of our younger member’s stories on this page, a short film and pamphlet. I have also included my e-mail address for any enquires youngpersons.severn@aamail.org. You are also able to identify local meetings via the Find a Meeting on the main Alcoholics Anonymous website and can call AA’s helpline anytime day or night. Our Local Number is 01452 418515.
