Website - using it on differing devices

There used to be a separate site for use by smartphones and other mobile devices. In most cases, these devices would automatically pick up the mobile site; but there was always a button on the Home Page to make your device go to the mobile site.

For some months now, the main site has been ‘responsive’. This means that the screen dimensions of each device are picked up automatically, and the most appropriate version of the main site is displayed. The mobile site is no longer required, and it will shortly be turned off.

Meeting Finder

If your device can track your current location, then the search box of the Meeting Finder should show the words ‘near me’. Activating the Meting Finder will then show a map and list of all meetings within 15 miles of this location.

If you bookmark this page onto the homescreen of your smartphone, you effectively have a local ‘Where to Find’ which should work anywhere in GB if you have both signal and you have location enabled.

If you encounter any problems with this new site, please send a support request in through the normal reporting channels to the ECSC at:  http://www.alcoholics-anonymous.org.uk/Members/Service/Helpdesk
