Next Intergroup meeting is tbc

  • Find out how intergroup works and more about AA as an organisation
  • Learn more about the various service positions and hear from people about how their sobriety has been enhanced by doing service
  • Volunteer to help and be sponsored into a service position
  • All Chester AA groups can vote on issues raised by appointing a GSR (group service representative)
  • Help fulfill our primary purpose to help the still suffering alcoholic find hope and recovery by supporting the AA Groups in Chester
  • Get involved with the Chester Convention. Be part of the committee or just offer some help and have a say in how it is organised, where it is located, how it is advertised to the fellowship
  • Most of all, see how service can help enhance your own recovery and be part of a team committed to helping others.

Intergroup meetings are help quarterly, take no more than an hour or so and are very friendly and quite informal affairs.  Anyone who is a member of AA is welcome to attend and either participate (as a group GSR if appointed by your group) or as a visitor.

New Members Welcome

If you are new to AA, then you are actively encouraged to attend intergroup meetings and find out more about how AA works and meet the people currently doing service.  Maybe they will sponsor you into service at some point in the future and doing service will become an important part of your recovery?

 Regional Representation

Chester City intergroup send representatives to the North West region meetings and local members are welcome to accompany these representatives as visitors to see how AA works on a regional basis.  The North West region includes Wirral, North Wales, Liverpool, Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Blackpool, Cumbria and Cheshire.
